Its been about 12 days since I left Nicaragua now. Gone through 3 countries since then, and is now located on a beach in south Oaxaca, Mexico. Fouth country.
I remember leaving Nicaragua, driving through a street I had never really seen before, on the way to the bus-station of Leon. Leon, where I had spent 3 months when I "finally" got out. I was saying finally untill I saw this street and started woundering how much id actually seen in my months there. I had big plans about getting lost there someday, and then it ended up not beeing enough time...
But I did have a good three months. Finished my exams, and my oral spanish went well, even though I didnt get Rubèn Dario (bummer).
Last day I even shook hands with the cafè-people, and they wished me a good trip. Went around saying goodbye, colecting some hugs from some good people in the last party, and then spent my last night with three good friends on the beach, watching the stars with a bottle of wine, sitting by a fire we managed to make all by ourself.
I guess Leòn wasnt too bad after all.
But I started my little journey back towards Mexico. Just before we left we heard in the news, rumours of a terrible virus, spreding through Mexico and further in to other countries. So our first goal while waiting to see what was happening up north, was Guatemala.
The bus to Guatemala can be said was a chapter in itself. I once woke up in the middle of the night, driving through El Salvador, looking out seeing nothing but darkness and fog. Not sitting far behind the driver, and beeing that it was the front-window I was looking out through, I bet you can guess my heart jumped a bit, and a thought flew thorugh my mind. Something like: "HOW THE HELL DO I DEAR THIS?"
But I was tired and saw that it wasnt just the driver, but also another guy stearing out the window, looking for cars and bumps and i dont know what, so I fell asleap and woke up on the border to Guetamala, about an hour before we got to Guetamala city. From there, we went straight to Lago Atitlan, witch is a higland lake in Guatemala, about 3000 meters over sea-level.
My third time in Lago Atitlan. I remember the first time I want, having said before "im staying for five days, and then im of to Antigua", and then I stayed for three weeks almost, having a blast with some really nice people from everywhere. That is some of the magic of Lago Atitlan, that so many different people, from so many different countries gather and become one, amongs all the different maya that live there.
Otherwise, you have the three vulcanoes that surrounds the lake, along with all the mountains, and the "indian-head". If you sit in San Pedro, looking across the lake, it looks like an indian is laying on his back, sleeping, by the shape of the mountains. Esta bien loco.
We managed to get out of there this time when we planned to though. Ok, so one day behind scedule, sleeping over in Lotte´s house, witch is really her granfather from Norway´s house. So we went from San Pedro to Santa Cruz to visit my friend for a coupple of days before we headed up towards Mexico.
Spent a few days in San Christobal, witch is also a Mountain town about the same hight as Atitlan. Wandered about in the rain, went to a party with some cool people from the hostel, and (loco! the world is so small!) met a friend I thought was in Europe now, but at one thirty in the morning staggered in through the front door, dragging some huge speakers, followed by the rest of the band! They played for a coupple of good hours, and I think I managed to get home about four a clock, having danced my ass of and wiched my friend "feliz viaje" to Europe.
Hey guys, if they end up in Finland (that they might do!) we should go see them!
So, yeah, ended up beeing a good party! And we wern´t even supposed to be there, now we were getting two days behing our original plans!
Anyways, here I am finaly, back on the beaches of Oaxaca. Zipolite today, and then we´ll see about tomorrow =) Its impossible to make plans anyway, and things allways end up getting better if you ignore that you were really supposed to be somewhere else, I guess :)
Im gonna go have a swim and look at the sunset.

Supposed be doing some final work before my oral exam, finding a houndred other things to do insted
Its almost my last day in Leon, Nicaragua. Last exam mañana, and then im done with this place! For a restless soul like mine, three months in a dusty small town is just a little to much. So im going to Guatemala! Cant wait to be back in the amazing lake of Atitlan, surrounded by mountains, volcanoes (active ones!) and CRAZY people, all having gathered in one place :)
Omg, can someone find out if there is a full-moon when we are there?? Have the full-moon parties started again? That would be so nice!
Anyways, lets go through some stuff im leaving behind here. Three months of my life is gone, and will never come back. I learned some more spanish, danced some salsa, met some new girls that are just supercool, going through some of that stuff i left behind some time ago, so having been fun to listen to them, feeling all norwegian and young again! Will be quite amuzing to go back there now when i now dont feel too much like a hippie-bum ;) Mendigo! Ja ja ja!!
"Pare que me lleve muy lejos, de la chingada de aqui"
Other things: two times we went to this vulcanocrater here in Nica! Ever on a trip to Nicaragua? Wanna relax, meditate, look at the sky for some days? Lagoona de apoyo is the place!
Otherwise, were leaving the beach of las peñitas, witch has been a good place to be sometimes when we had to get away. Leaving pinks, with the best smoothie in the world! (Buying a blender back home in Norway, learning how to make smooties! How did i manage to live a life without smoothies before?) Hammoks, sun, 42 degrees, going to the mall or to the movies to enjoy some functioning aircondition. Movies for 2 1/2 dollars! Ive never been to the movies this much before ever!!! Oh, and BIG coke for about a dollar. Brownies for 0.5o dollars a peace, and a coffee (preferable ice) for about one. Will miss Rosita! And my crazy ass teacher with an idiot husband that makes her have no social-life, so she tried to make us all her best friends. Im sorry it took me so long to understand just that, but it just took so much of my time trying to understand those god damn articles we have for... tomorrow. Oh, fuck, I should be reading.
Well, ill try to make my teacher prowd tomorrow, so ill go read now! The thing I wont be missing, can you guess what it is? All those texts that you need to be a fu**ing fissisist (witch is a word a absolutely dont know how to write in english. Maybe only the "fissisists" knows ;) to understand! Imagine, if a cant write english right, how im totally screwed when it comes to spanish :)
Ill go understand Ruben Dario now.
Wish me luck for tomorrow! Last one up, so everyone will be celebrating you, just think it like that Jo!

Just back in Leon from big trip to everywhere in a week. Might be to tired to start a blog...
Hola!
Well, we finally got back to Leon, Nicaragua, from Costa Rica and almost everywhere you can go on the way down to the rich coast! Anywhere with a beach that is! Ive just sent in my homework (finally, I had until midnight) that I had all easter on doing and did now, havent unpacked jet, is just sitting in a corner off my room checking out cartoons on the internet. I cant remember having been this tired for ages, but then I just got back from a LONG trip that we should have used two weeks on but only had one, , and my poor body has gotten to used to sitting on a school-bench. I gotta get back out in the game! (Traveling backpacker style that is!)
Had a good trip though! Got myself a coupple of new stamps in my passport from Costa Rica and Nicaragua! Another country to add on my list of countries ive been in! Wasnt too pleaced with that country though, but we did go in the middle of something like the biggest party-week in Sentral America (Semana Santa, or easter as we would say), and I bet if the group was in a greater partymood we would have loved it! Partying with the crazy-drunk lokals that used probably over a months salary on just booze!
But we werent up for it this time. Watched the moon as it was getting fuller and fuller, watched the fullmoon and then tried to pay attention as it was getting smaller again, but lost the attention... Got to se a coupple of beautiful sunsets to! And for the full-moon night we lived in a vulcano-crater here in Nicaragua that is now a lagoon, and it feels like your sitting inside a bucket, especially when your down there looking up. Feels like the earth is sucking you in almost! Was told after that its a famous place for ufo watching, and we are sure we saw a coupple!!! ;)
Also, we camped on the boarder between Costa Rica and Nicaragua a coupple of days ago! Not by purpose, not at all. What happened was that we got tired of this big party place in Costa Rica and went to check out this other beach people kept telling us was sooo beautiful. So we went and it was so and so and PACKED with Tica-tourists. So we decided to go to this beautiful beach in Nicaragua instead, thinking we had enough time to get a cross the boarder before dark.
Sure, we would have had enough time, if it wasnt for the holidays. Never forget about the holidays when your out traveling from now on! THEY CLOSED THE BOARDES 4 HOURS EARLIER... ! -so "long friday" as we call that day i norway we camped outide a restaurant on the boarder, that were so nice to us, making dinner and juices and everything, even though they didnt have anything (since I think they were just home from crazy partying theirself), and we sleept in their backyard. Was actully a really good part about the vacation. (And felt like the safest! We sat outside the tent at night, watching the police and the military drive by on their bikes!)
Then we went to San Juan del Sur, south in Nicaragua, and from the town we went out to "Madera", one of the nicer beaches here in Nicaragua. Finally, just about 50 people, half of them out in the water surfing, quiet (except the constant sound of the perfect waves), no clouds, just the three girls on the beach trying to get a little tanned before we went back "home".. At this point, we were so tired, we fell all asleep in the sun at the same time!
After some surfing ofcourse! He he... Body... surfing... that is...
Well surf next time!
Well, its getting late. I had a good trip you guys! See you at school tomorrow!
Iiiiiiik, back to school...
